The PCEC Meditation Group invites you to join them for a trip to Wat Dammakaya, one of the largest Buddhist Temples in Thailand, to experience a gathering of tens of thousands of Thai and foreign Buddhists who will be celebrating the Lunar Mahja Puja Day in a candlelight procession at the Wat. The celebration takes place around a Buddhist Stupa (or mound) that looks like a flying saucer, and becomes a spectacular sight when lit up at night with thousands of Monks and Buddhist followers walking around it carrying lighted candles.

The Group will arrive about 3pm for a guided tour of the Wat and check out the huge meeting areas, capable of holding 500,000 people or more, and meet (and talk) with some of the Wat's followers and a Monk or two.

The trip will be on Mahja Puja day, Saturday February 8, 2020, and will leave at noon from the Markland Condo at Beach Road & Soi 1. The charge for the trip is 400 baht - which must be paid by the close of the February 2, 2020, PCEC Meeting. Payment when you sign-up will assure you a seat in the Mini-van.

The Group will then send you more details of the trip by email and answer any questions you may have.
