FORMED BY PCEC MEMBERS

Prior to the Covid Pandemic, there were several Educational Groups with some meeting weekly and others periodically.  These groups, of necessity, ceased during the Pandemic.  Now, they are returning.  We will be announcing information about them here.

The Writing Group is a group of English-speaking expats, men and women, who meet regularly on Friday afternoons in each others’ homes to do creative writing.

It’s not like the writing you had to do in school – the emphasis is very much on making stuff up, going with the flow and having fun with words: we write stories, poems, memories, comedy sketches from prompts given in the meeting. Sometimes they take an idea home and develop it into a longer piece; a couple of members are even writing full-length novels. None are professional writers but offer mutual support.

If you would like to give it a try, write to John Lynham at: johnlynham@hotmail.com for more information and the location of their next meeting. John notes there are no qualifications needed, just bring yourself and a pen and paper!
