The holder of a Thai Driving License can obtain an International Driving Permit (IDP) which will allow them to use their Thai license in another country provide it is a party to the International Convention(s). The IDP expires one year after the date of issue and it is not valid for driving in Thailand. |

CHONBURI LAND TRANSPORT OFFICE The nearest LTO to Pattaya where you can obtain an IDP is on the north side of Chonburi City, approximately an hours drive north toward Bangkok. The quickest method is to use the Motorway 7 exiting on Highway 361 avoiding city traffic and traffic lights. |
