This is a fun event that includes a table laden lunch buffet, followed by a showjumping competition and several Polo matches (chukkers) featuring talented Polo players from South America, Malaysia, and Thailand.
There are covered booths selling beverages, hats, clothing, souvenirs, games for children, wine tastings and more. The event is held as a charitable fund-raising for the Chitralalada Technology Institute in Bangkok. The cost is 1,500 baht per person at the Polo Grounds on arrival and includes an excellent buffet lunch, and an equally large BBQ dinner – all with seating at covered tables of ten next to the Polo field.
PCEC Member Richard Smith has arranged transportation to the Pattaya Polo Grounds if you would like to attend this event. Round trip transportation will be 130 baht per person. If you wish to go by car, Richard can provide you with a map to the Polo Grounds. Mini-vans will be leaving the MarklandCondo at 11:30 am on Saturday, January 18, to transport members and friends to the event. The transportation charge is paid in the MarklandLobby before boarding a mini-van to the Polo Grounds. Maps to the Polo Grounds will be available at this Sunday’s PCEC Meeting.
